Term 1- Emma Assignment

In term 1, we had been looking at the book Emma. Our teacher (Mrs Johnston) had set us an assignment piece on the book Emma. We had to pick a scene from the movie or the book and translate it into the 21st century. You could have also picked a scene which isn’t in the book or the movie and link it to the book.
The scene that I had chosen is the scene where Mrs Taylor and Mr Western had met. This scene takes place in a flash place in England, where young Emma is playing on game boy. Then she notices that a man was moving in next door and she try’s to set up Mrs Taylor and Mr Western up. This is where she becomes a match maker.
The assignment was really easy and I am really good in writing short stories like this. I really enjoyed it and I would hope we could do something like this next term (but I know that we can’t). The mark that I got for this assignment is an A-. I’m really happy with my mark because this is my first A in an English Assignment.

Term 1- "Emma" by Jane Austen

In term 1 we have been looking at the book Emma by Jane Austen. We haven’t really read the book because it’s quite long and very thick.
Therefore we have been watching both movies on Emma. The first one that we saw is the one where Kate Beckinsale stars as Emma. The second one is the one where Gwyneth Paltrow, also stared as Emma. These two movies are very different from each other and you should really see them both first to see what your onion is.

What Emma is about?
Based on the Jane Austen novel, "Emma" tells the story of a young woman in England who plays her town's matchmaker. When attempting to match up her friend with the Reverend Elton, Emma starts to run into complications, which multiply amongst themselves with cases of mistaken intentions of love, a cast of supporting characters who each love someone else, but Emma doesn't know who loves who, and Emma finally realizing the one person she truly loves

Term 1- "Cluess" the movie

In term 1, we have been learning about the book called Emma. This book is written by the most famous authors who every lived, Jane Austen.
In the 21st century director Amy Heckerling, has brought Jane Austen’s book Emma into this new world. The movie that I’m talking about is the movie called “Clueless”. This movie stars Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd and Brittany Murphy. This movie looks on the character of Alicia Silverstone’s character Cher Horowitz (who is Emma in Jane Austen’s book), who falls in love and is a terrible match maker. This movie relates to the book and movie of Emma.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves relationships between males and females. This movies isn’t my favorite movie and it is rated M.
